Jones Town’s Tribute to The Creation Museum

For those of you who are unaware, a “Creation Museum” is set to open tomorrow in Petersburg, KY. . The Museum, as the name implies, is based on the Biblical Story of Creation, and will feature galleries, exhibits, a theatre and even a planetarium.

The interesting thing about the Museum, and why it’s received so much attention, is that the Exhibits will feature Dinosaurs alongside human beings.

The founder of the Museum, Ken Ham (An Australian Native), says there is ample “proof” of dinosaurs in the Bible, and that people need to be taught “the truth”. You tell’em Ken.

The museum is housed in  60,000 sq. ft. building, and was designed in part by a former Universal Studios designer. (Jones Town attempted to set up an interview with the designer but we were told he’s changed his name and moved to a remote island somewhere in the Pacific).

Since several members of the Jones Town team are from Louisville, we felt compelled to honor this monumental moment in history with a tribute to the “Creation Museum”. (Also we own a couple of meth labs near Petersburg and this museum is going to make us some serious Cheese).

Our Crack team of artists worked all night designing this poster for the Museum, and we hope Mr. Hamm will agree to sell it in his gift store.

  1. guess i am out of the loop, but didn’t find myself amused by this one.

  2. I’m sorry, but I think it’s funny as Hell. But what do I know?

  3. Ah, I should have guessed that Ken Ham is connected with this. I listened to him on Family Life Radio (I believe) until the disgust level got too high.

It is a shame professionally executed exhibits will, in all likelihood, be used to spread ignorance to so many of the nation’s youth.

    Dinosaurs living with men–Indeed

  4. The thing that really sucks is a couple of us are from Louisville, and we already have to deal with the thousand other stereotypes associated with Kentucky, and now this.

Coal, The Derby, Tobacco, Appalachia and The Creation Museum.

I can’t express to you the sense of Pride I feel.

As far as Ham is concerned, his website is filled with absolute nonsense. But, if you don’t know much about science it sounds like it could be true. He’s an amazing spin Doctor, mixing in just enough scientific jargon to make himself appear “Scientific”.

Something strange is going on in this country.
