  2. Believe it or not Fairlane i am original hedgecore born and raised in the bay area. I love punk. i grew up oin Minor Threat and Bad Brains. We all listened to Dougie Fresh and Public Enemy.
The idea of crossing genres was not revolutionary to us. A lot of my old friends are still in bands some are not. But we made our impact and now groups like Greenday can sellout in our place.

  3. I never understood those people who only listen to one kind of music. In my opinion, they don’t really like music at all and are simply interested in being “cool,” whatever that means.

Punk and rap are very similar at their roots. Both are urban styles of music started by disenchanted kids who had something to say. They were really different takes on the same subject, “This world is fucked up.”

Unfortunately, in the end both styles of music were exploited and made mainstream. (Personally I cannot stand Greenday, if that’s “Punk” I’m Gandhi).

I enjoy all kinds of music, and can’t imagine going a day without it.

Bad Brains are the shit. Minor Threat, I like them, but their shows, damn, and the fact they started drawing so many skinhead types kind of turned me off.
